Sarawak Jan 08' Part 2(Kuching n Miri)

Jan 17th: Early in the morning, after we have our breakfast in Bako National Park , we leave Forest lodge n ride a boat back to Kampung Bako Jetty, the sea wasn't as rough but the weather was good=).
We then took machine-gun-bus back to Kuching town n walked to our lodge,Lodge 121, it was newly established, but is superbly clean n ppl there r friendly.with reasonable price around rm 30 per pax per night. After getting ourself ready we decided to visit Kuching Cultural Village by taking a shuttle bus from Kuching Holiday Inn. Kuching Cultural Village.Man..this Iban guy is so muscular but his legs look thinner than mineT.T...nooo
The guy on right looks funny...cute guy on 2nd right,
3rd: gap lui?!?!most left:dance till so serious?
Cultural showWhile watching this Iban man performing, suddenly yeow hong said:i think he didnt wear his underwear la..=.=.....i think i saw his..oops...!!!me: of course got la..stupid...lolz.

After watching the cultural show, which was not bad with good story line, we slacked around the village taking pics n took the last shuttle bus back to Kuching town.Scenary on the way back to Kuching Town
While walking along the street n we spotted something funny......n something....unusual..>.<
Opps....we went into this reddish well decorated pirated vcd shop...n spot something unusual..oops=.=..

At night, we walked quite a distance to search for food, nice bar along the road, but we went to this 'dai chao'chinese restaurant n had dinner. Not bad though...spotted a buffet style steamboat shop n wanted to have our supper after tat but...was really full by the time we had our dinner...so we walked along the night street n back to our lodge...chit chatting n slept early as our flight to Miri n Mulu on the next day will be damn early.During the stay at the Lodge, we met this English couple that looks young.coincidently, they are flying off to Miri n Mulu as well, that is same flight as us... while chitchatting, =..= found tat this couple has been travelling since the past 8 months, stop at Brisbane to work for 1 month n continue their journey, 4 more months to go by then....n i guess now they r home already.Really wish that can travel one day like wat they did....bored of their jobs, quit n travel....wonderful man!

Jan 18th: The kind boss of lodge 121 sent us off to Kuching International airport, while waiting for boarding, i had a good sleep..=)..Was exciting n glad that Air Asia was actually on time, while sitting on the aeroplane that preparing to fly off, man...mana tahu the aeroplane parked back to its slot....n we were like=.=...at the end, our flight was delayed for 2 hours due to 'technical prob' but glad that we r on time to catch the Maswing Mulu flight from Miri Airport at around 12 pm.Around 2pm we arrive at the Mulu National Park n board an old minivan with Anna n her bf, the england couple to the headquarter of Mulu National Park. The forest lodge are all full, so we stayed at this dorm with around 20 beds n shared bathroom.quite cheap though..rm15-20. In Mulu National Park which is also an UNESCO world heritage area, almost all of the tour to the Caves must be guided with a renjer aka tour guide. So we took the tour to the Clear Water Caves n Wind Caves which we met our guide in front of the Clear Water Caves. Long tail boat on the way to Clear Water Caves.Cicada

The water is so damn clear n chilling=)
Our handsome guide aka Renjer, Roland Gua....stupid Zhi Jian n Yeow Hong(pointing at me,telling Roland):Dia cakap u very handsome o...me: ..............=.=

The food at Mulu National Park is the most expensive out of all the National Parks in Sarawak we went, cause all stuff have to be transported by either Helicopter or Flight or by boat..but taste pretty good as well.At night we played some games at the cafe to kill the time off after washing our dirty clothes.haha zhi jian looks very noobie in this pic..XD.

Jan 20th: Yay!waking up early and went to the Canopy Skywalk which is the longest tree-based walkway in the world Spotting wildlife along the way.Renjer in Mulu National Park r real cool, they know what animals that usually rest on what kinds of tree n their eyes r real sharp! After tat we went to the largest caves passage in the world, Deer Caves.Man, it was real huge!!!It was called Deer Caves as long long ago, deer used to stayed in the caves n is full of bats' guano smell...=.=At the end of the caves, was Garden of Eden which nearby are Adam and Eve’s Showers spouting 30 metre columns of water to the river far below.End of the Deer Caves' pathway, Garden of Eden
It was around 6 pm, n the sound of the bats in the caves getting louder, is time for them to fly out of the caves to search for food.On the way back to the Bats Observatory Platform, we chatted for quite awhile with our Renjer, he was such a kind n humour person, talked with us his 20 yrs past experiences as a Renjer in Mulu Caves.Cool person he is.He encouraged us to climb the Pinnacles which will takes at least 5D4N , but we r out of time, but definitely we r going back 1 day to climb the Pinnacles.=)This is where the bats r going to fly out from.
Bats flying out of Mulu Caves to search for food in jungle around Brunei area n will return back around midnite!!They fly non-stop batch by batch with their own species forming a ribbon in the sky.

Uncle Renjer: U know y some of the bats fly back to Deer Caves while others continue to fly out??
We: em, duno o....
Uncle Renjer: Haha...cause they forgot to bring their passport!!!*continue laughing*
We:....nyabeh....swt=.=''lolz..
obscene stuff spotted while on the way back to Headquarters.>.<
The next day earlier in the morning, we then took a flight back to Miri International Airport, saying bye-bye to Beautiful n gigantic Mulu Caves.I really wana go back someday to do caving, to climb the Pinnacles n all sort of trekking tat we missed out.Caving
